At some point in your life or career comes the moment when you com-
pare yourself with someone and wonder, “How did so and so become
so successful? What has he done to create such abundance in his life?”
Comparing yourself with others is natural. Ask yourself what else you
can do to achieve greater results. Let’s face it; we have goals we wish to
achieve and challenges that we must overcome to achieve them. Often,
the obstacles we face are what prepare us for what lies ahead.

Like most people, I’ve had successes in my career and faced temporary
failures. I’ve been fortunate to learn from my mistakes and have been
asked to share advice on how to succeed. That is why I am writing this
chapter. There is a simple formula that I use, and I believe it translates
into a true advantage. The formula is a simple Biblical principle, and,
I’d like to share with you my ideas in parallel to a story so that maybe it,
too, can help you along your special success journey. The story of David
and Goliath exemplifies what happens when the natural occurrences in a
person’s life lead to supernatural outcomes.

Long before David became the great King of Israel he began his career
as a lowly shepherd boy. He was the youngest and smallest in his family.
His brothers ridiculed him because of his small frame, and he was de-
nied the opportunity to participate in the military and enjoy its benefits.
