Be A sWAn

Women......

Picture this. You are gliding through life, head held high, poised and
confident. You have a definitive purpose. Every part of your being is
relaxed and at peace – mind, body, and spirit. You are secure and quite
comfortable being on your own. In fact, you relish the simplicity. ...Ac-
countable to no one other than yourself. ...Easy.

Well, I’m sorry to disturb the reverie, but for most women this is not
reality. Well, why can’t it be? I’m here to show you how.

First, a little background.

Our societal roles as nurturers and caregivers have overshadowed our
financial proclivity – to women’s own detriment, I might add. With over
65% of women controlling the wealth in our country, why is it that most
women feel like the ostrich, hiding our heads in the sand, when it comes
to managing our finances?

For over three decades, it has pained me to see women crushed by their
own admitted lack of knowledge, confidence and planning for financial
security. I would like to share three of my most poignant stories. Per-
haps one may sound familiar to you or someone you know.
