If you are married to a:
Gregarious: Knowing that gregarious need to feel connected and bond-
ed; that they seek the feeling of being loved, liked and accepted, I sug-
gest to you to write a list of all of the things that you like and love about
your gregarious spouse, and then, tell him or her from the bottom of
your heart, what is on that list. Also, for positive reinforcement, keep
frequently mentioning the same things on your list when having a con-
versation with your spouse.
Unique: Since Unique likes to feel acknowledged and recognized,
don’t let your Unique spouse leave or return home without always go-
ing to the door and, after hugging and kissing, saying in a loving way
something like this: “Have a great day at work” or “I am so happy to
see you back.”
Diversifier: Because a Diversifier loves surprises, write a love note to
your Diversifier spouse and hide it in a place such as her purse, his or
her pocket, wallet, kitchen drawer, lunch bag, etc., where he or she will
be totally and pleasantly surprised when finding it.
Cautious: Give your Cautious spouse the predictability, security and
safety he or she needs to relate to you in a trusting and comfortable way.
Every week on the same day and for as long as needed, hold a planning
meeting, where you and your spouse will come with a list of issues that
have been a source of disagreement and argument in the past.
