ment life really is. It won’t be like the life they lived when they had
a full-time career. As career people, our clients were in accumulation
mode. They accumulated wealth over 30, 40 years.
They were their own assets – they used their experience, personality,
and professional community to get ahead. They relied on themselves
and their skills for their livelihood.
While that’s easy to grasp, it’s hard for most clients to understand what to
do when that ends. After your career, you are no longer your own asset.

Your income no longer comes from a boss, it comes from what you’ve
