tal attitude, our mind. And he went on to say that if we have control of
just that one thing, it must be important. It must be the key to all else.


To accomplish a dream lifestyle, my friend Ed Blunt says you need to
live in the future, not in your past and not even the precious present. At
the same time, my friend Steve Jones says you need to get off the sofa
and out the door or you’re just gonna leave a legacy of butt marks!


I remember my first obsession as a child: a motorcycle! My friend Lou-
is Provost first bought a beautiful 50cc red Honda! It symbolized fun,
freedom and fulfillment to me! I remember buying motorcross posters,
drawing pictures on any surface I could find, riding an imaginary dirt-
bike any time I was walking or riding my bicycle, buying racing jerseys
(and being ridiculed by classmates who knew I didn’t own or even ride
a motorcycle). Several years later my friend Kenny Levesque had the
same 50cc Honda and a 100cc trailbike. One day Kenny invited me over
and my Dad had just one condition: no riding motorcycles. “Okay Dad.”
I was on my way. When I arrived, Kenny came riding up on his 100 and
I was in awe! Said bye to my Dad and Kenny began to ride around his
yard. He came back and asked me if I wanted to ride his old minibike,
since I had never ridden before. I was nervously excited beyond my
