  • Do you really need for example the planned location, equipment,
    staff or whatever else right from the start, or is it also possible to
    start smaller with less expenditure?


The questions you have to ask yourself depends on your business idea,
but it is in nearly all cases possible to reduce the money needed in a
significant way. And as soon as you’ve started your business and cre-
ated your first revenues, you can permanently reinvest your profits in
the originally-intended way.


The next thing you have to do is to find one or several solutions in
connection with organizing the above determined minimum amount of
money you need for starting. Therefore you can do several things:



  • You can look for an additional job and use the earnings from that
    job as start-up money for your business.

  • You can go through all the things you own. It is very likely that
    there are lots of things you do not really need. Try to sell them
    either on the Internet or with the help of small advertisements,
    which you often can place for free in supermarkets.

  • Due to the fact that you’re a problem solver and a goal achiever,
    you can ask your family and friends to lend you the necessary
    money you need for starting. The worst thing that could happen
    is that they say no, but that is no catastrophe, and sometimes
    you’ll be really astonished at who will support you.

  • Look for your first customers and agree on a 30 or 50% deposit,
    or even ask for a 100% advance payment.

  • Negotiate with your suppliers long payment targets and with
    your customers short ones. If you do that right on the basis of
    a clear and comprehensive calculation as well as a serious, ac-
    curate check of the creditworthiness of your customers, that can
    be a great possibility even to perform a big project with less or
    even no money.


There are many more possibilities we can think of. Be creative in this
regard and try all things that could lead to success. Never give up if
something does not work, try the next possibility – as long as necessary
and until you have success or in other words: the necessary money for
getting started.
