SOCIETY UPDATE

The Science News in High Schools program team
worked with us to identify articles and activities
aligned with our curriculum in a way that was easy
for us to integrate into our planning guides. I'm
always impressed at the variety and depth of
what the program has to offer, like articles written
at multiple reading levels related to a particular
standard, or experiments related to the articles
with great questions that prompt critical thinking.”
KD DAVENPORT
Director of Science, School District of Philadelphia

Because our school is in a very rural
area, our population is geographically
isolated from many streams of infor-
mation. Our budget is very small and
our access to lab tools is very limited.
The program brings current science
into my classroom. These articles
consistently draw great dialog from
the students.”
ALAN GRINSTEINNER
Teacher, Bison School District, South Dakota
