Before we venture into more complex, exotic chords, it is worth considering whether there is something more you
can do with the basic chords we looked at in Section 2.
Voicings
Sometimes the simplest chord sequences can be made more effective by using different shapes, or voicings, of the
same chords. Here are some ideas for alternate shapes. Some of them feature unison strings (where the notes are at
the same pitch) to give a ringy, "12-string" tone on a regular 6-string guitar.
