Status of Teachers
Islam has paid considerable attention to teachers for their being the
firstbrickinthestructureofsocialdevelopmentandperfectionandthe
causeofguidinganddevelopingbehaviorsandmentalitiesofindividu-
alsandcommunities.The Prophetcared forteachersandshowedtheir
elevated standings.Once, he passedbytwo circles of people; the first
wassupplicatingtoGodwhiletheotherlisteningtoateacher.Hecom-
mented,“ThefirstisbeggingGodwho mayormaynotgivethem.The
secondwaslearning.Ihavebeensentasteacher.”Hence,hejoinedthe
second.ThisisthebestexampleoftheProphet’sencouragingeducation
and teaching.
