Aid and Condelence
Reciprocal aidandcondolence arouse the Muslims’social unity and
leadtotheconfirmationofcongruityandharmony.TheProphet(s)said,
“ForthosewhorelieveaMuslim’sagonyinthisworld,Godwillrelieve
one oftheiragonies onthe ResurrectionDay.Godaidsthe servantsas
longastheyaidtheirbrothers..Imamas-Sadiq(a)said,“Forthosewho
relieveabeliever’sagonyinthisworld,Godwillrelieveoneoftheirag-
oniesontheResurrectionDay,andwillrevivethemfromthetombswith
fullycoolhearts. Godwillofferfoodof theParadisetothosewho feed
theneedyin thisworld.Similarly,He willoffertheparadisiacalsealed
pure drink to those who offer drink to the needy in this world. “For
thosewho relieveandmeet an insolventbeliever’s need inthisworld,
GodwillsettletheirneedsinthisworldandtheHereafter.Forthosewho
coverupa believer’sflaw, Godwillcoverupseventy oftheir flawsin
thisworld andthe Hereafter.Godaidsthe servantsaslongastheyaid
theirbrothers.Thus,benefitbytheadmonitionandseekthegood.Imam
al-Baqir(a)said,“Thosewhosettlethebelievers’needsarenotonlyde-
lighting them. They, by God, delight us. Moreover, they delight the
Prophet(s).“The mostpreferabledeedto Godisdelightingthe believ-
ers.” Imam ar-Rida (a) said, “For those who relieve a believer in this
world, Godwill relievethem onthe ResurrectionDay.”These sayings
urgeonbenevolenceandcondolenceforthesakeofapplyingtheIslamic
fraternityandsolidaritysothatanygap,fromwhich therivalsanden-
emies may penetrate to the Islamic body, will be blocked.
