(Sixth) Muslims should send their servants for serving their brothers
who have no servants.
(Seventh)Muslimsshouldapprovethe others’oaths,respondtothe in-
vitations, visitthe ill,attendthe funerals,andtake initiativein settling
the needs before they are asked. These matters correlate the affairs.”.
These rights compose the excellent course that achieves the nations’
solidarity, union, and protection against discrepancy and difference.
Imamas-Sadiq (a)said,“Muslims’rightsare thattheyshouldneverbe
saturated or dressing well while others are hungry and naked. How
greattheMuslims’rightsthat areobligedupontheirbrothersare!You
should take to your brothers whatever you like to yourselves. You
shouldaskthemwhenyouneed,andgive themwhentheyneed.You
shouldneverstoptreatingyourbrothersbenevolently,andtheyshould
neverstoptreatingyouthelike.Youshouldbackthemandtheyshould
backyou.You shouldkeepthemwhiletheyare absent,andvisitthem
when they are present. You should regard and dignify them because
they are yours and you are theirs. If your brothers blame you, you
shouldnotleavebeforeseekingtheirforgiveness.YoushouldpraiseGod
forthewealththattheyget,andsupporttheminmisfortunesandhelp
theminneediness.Thisrelationshipmaybecutbyasingleindicationof
nagging.”.
ThischartprovidesavitalcourseoftheIslamicleaguethatdistributes
emotions and passions and creates Muslims’ alliance in good and bad.
Imam as-Sadiq (a) also said, “The believers’ rights are the inherent
amiability,sharingthe riches,guarding thefamilyin absence,support-
ingthe wronged, receivingthe share of the absent,visiting the tombs,
andavoiding wronging,cheating, betraying,disappointing, belying,or
showinganysignofboredom.”.He onceaskedamanaboutthecondi-
tionsofpeoplethere.The manpraisedthemelegantly.“Howaboutthe
richmen’svisitingthepoor?”askedtheImam.“Notthatbad,”answered
the man.“Howabout the richmen’s supervisingthe poor?” askedthe
Imam.“Notthatbad,”answeredtheman.“Howabouttherichmen’sre-
lationswiththepoor?”askedtheImam.“Youarementioningmoralities
that wehardly have,”saidthe man. The Imam(a) said, “Howdo you
claim those people’s being Shias?”.
Theseexcellentinstructionssupplythenationwithallofthecompon-
entsofrenaissanceandmaturity,andprotectfromdiscrepancyanddis-
union.Theyaresurelythemostimpressiveprincipalsofthenationaland
socialeducationthatfixtheboundariesandbarriersbeforetheantagon-
izing powers, and encompass the nation with compact fences.
