Thanks to God, Islam has been using and equipping positively all
powersforfindingthesoundeducationaimingatdevelopingthehuman
conscienceandexpandingthesocialandintellectuallevelsinthebound-
aries of a single educational process upon the base of which the indi-
viduals are formed in one mode. This formation tends to pursue the
rightandjusticeandcompeteinthe fieldsofvirtueandgoodness.Un-
likeChristianityandJewism,thefeatureoftheIslamiceducationhasnot
beenasortofutterreligionorutterworldlyregulations,likethatofthe
Romans.Ithasbeenaharmoniousstructureofreligionandworldlycus-
tomssinceitaimsatachievingacomprehensiverenovationof thetwo.
TheIslamiceducationhastakeninconsiderationallofthesocialclasses
towhichithasdedicatedthemostexcellentcoursesbaseduponthemost
modernmeans of civilization, development, progression, andmaturity
of mankind.It isthe onlysource of Muslims’civilizationandgloryall
overtheirgoldenages.AnIslamiceducationistsays,“Itisimpossiblefor
anyeducationistorhistoriantodenythefactthattheIslamiceducation
hasbeenthefirmgroundofMuslims’civilization.Theeminentidealities
of thiseducation comply with the modern trends.Islam hassanctified
knowledgeandscholars,andelevatedsciencetoattaintherankofwor-
ship.It has caredgreatly forall types ofeducation in general, andthe
spiritual, religious, and moral in specific. Islam has called for liberty,
equality, and equal opportunities of learning, disregarding the social
classes.Moreover,ithaseradicatedtheclassificationofsocietiesandim-
posedlearning uponeveryMuslim-maleandfemale-afteritprovided
every attainable means of studying.
The portals ofmosques, institutes,schools, andlibrariesin additionto
thescientificandliterarysessionswerewidelyopenbeforestudents.The
Islamic states provided the students and scholars with whatever they
needed,includinglodgings,freemedicalcare,andfinancialsupportsfor
guaranteeing good living and sparing enough time for studying. The
principalsofmoderneducation-thatcameforthinthetwentiethcentury
buthavenotbeenapplied yet-hadbeen conceivedandappliedbythe
Islamiceducationinitsgoldenagestensofyearsbeforethemodernfor-
mulation..Islamhaspresentedforallpeoplesonthisglobetheintellectu-
alboomsthat includedthe basesofrenaissance,progress,andcompre-
hensive rectification involving all of the courses of life.
Generally,Islamhasmadeknowledgetheessentialelementofthesocial
compositionand Muslims’collective revival.It has encouragedthe re-
ceiving of knowledge and made it one of the doctrinal precepts.
