evilandrebelliousspirits.Islamhasconfirmedthismatter.TheProphet
(s)said,“Disciplineyourchildren.Thisisbetterforyouthanadailygiv-
ingofabigsumofalms.”Healsosaid,“Ifyouhonoranddisciplineyour
children aptly, God will forgive you.”
In most cases, irregularity that accompanies the children is the con-
sequenceofthefathers’negligenceandfailuretodisciplinethechildren
whodeviate.SheikNaraqisays,“Childrenthatareneglectedintheearli-
est stages of growth up will mostly opt for ill manners. They chiefly
preferfabrication,envy,andobstinacy,andbecomethieves,traitors,and
impolite.Inothercases,suchchildrenmaybeweakling,licentious,and
profligate.”.
