Mothers Duty
Mothers,whodesiretoseetheirsonsbetheirfuturepleasureandrelic,
shouldworkhardforeducatingthesonsandoverseeingtheirbehaviors
by sticking in their minds the good biases and the noble idealities.
1.Mothersshouldendearandencourageoneverygoodconductbyre-
ferring to the successful outcomes.
2.Mothersshouldwarntheirchildrenagainstanycriminalandevilway
andcustom,andshouldwarnthemagainstthe behaviorsof anyparty
thatisincongruenttothereligiousandsocialhabits.Theyshouldreferto
theconsequencesofsuchthingsthatareinjuriousforfamilies,societies,
and the children themselves.
3.Mothersshouldchoosechastityandmoralityasthecoursesofeducat-
ingtheirdaughterswhomshouldbeguidedtothequalitiesofthefemale
exemplars. They should be warned against recklessness andbeing af-
fectedbythefashionsofthosewomenwhoareunawareoftheirchastity
anddignity. Carefultutelageshouldbe focusedondaughtersandtheir
affairssothattheywillnotbepollutedbythelibertineconventionsthat,
unfortunately,foundtheirwaytoourIslamicsocieties,andinvadedour
people’s intellective and doctrinal lives. Daughters are usually more
obedient-totheirmothers-thansons.Theyare alwaysin needoftheir
mothers. Hence,mothers shouldmaintain, manage,andtrain them on
housekeeping.Theyshouldalsomakethemperceivethelife’sliabilities
sothat theywill fulfilltheir dutiesin the future andbecome the good
mothers of other generations.
4.Mothers should not exceed in pampering their children in order to
avoidthe disadvantagesthat contributeinthe retardation ofeducation
and the future unbecomingness.
5.Mothersshouldattracttheirsons’attentions tothehighstandardsof
their fathers. They should insist on reverencing and respecting them.
Thiswillimprovethefathers’rolesindiscipliningthedeviateandlead-
ing to the good behavior.
6.Mothersshouldnevercontendtheirhusbandssincethiscreatesanas-
pectofmutualmaliceandhatred.Consequently,suchmattersmaylead
tothechildren’sdisorderandanxietyaswellasothermentalcomplexes.
Islam hasurged womenon pleasing the husbandsand neglectingany
matterthatmayenragethem.TheProphet(s)isreportedtosay,“Allah
willnotacceptanydissuasion,remunerationorgooddeedofthewives
unless they satisfytheir husbands.” “Wives, who mistreat andburden
