American Ginseng, Chinese Red-date and Lycium Fruit Tea
(西洋参, 红枣, 枸杞子茶)
Ingredients:
- Xi yang shen (西洋参) American ginseng 15 g
- Hong zao (红枣) Chinese red-date 20 pieces
- Gou qi zi (枸杞子) lycium fruit 15 g
- Hong tang (红糖) brown sugar: right amount
- Shen jiang (生姜) fresh ginger 3 pcs
Cooking methods:
- Rinse the Chinese herbs (items 1-3)
- Wash the fresh ginger and cut into pieces
- Put all ingredients in pot and add 1.5 liters of water. Bring to boil and then turn to
medium heat for 10 minutes. - Add the brown sugar and drink it when it is warm or in room temperature.
Function:
- Tonify qi and blood, prevention and treatment of anemia.
- Nourish spleen, stomach and kidney yin and nourish blood
- Calms the shen (spirit), use to treat insomnia.
- Moisten lung yin and generate body fluid
