Pumpkin Porridge

Ingredients:
1 lb Spare Ribs
7 Ginkgo Seeds, peeled
5 thin slices Fresh Ginger Root
1 Tbsp Cooking Wine
1 Tbsp Chopped Scallions
Salt to taste


Directions:



  1. Wash and dry spare ribs and chop them into 2 x 2 inch chunks

  2. Place spare rib chunks, cooking wine, ginger slices and 2 cups of water in a pot

  3. Bring to a boil

  4. Reduce heat and simmer, partially covered, until spare ribs are very tender (60-90
    minutes)

  5. Add ginkgo and cook for another 15 minutes

  6. Add salt and scallions

  7. Serve soup warm
