As you go over Table 7.6, try to develop a “feel” for the order of volume quantity. For example,
ask yourself whether a pint or a liter is the larger quantity, and so on.
Volume Calculations
The volume of simple shapes, such as a cylinder, a cone, or a sphere, may be obtained using vol-
ume formulas as shown in Table 7.7. Indirect and direct estimation of volumes of objects are
demonstrated in Examples 7.2 and 7.3.
