could start a new query adding all the fields except State, or you could simply “turn off” the
State field by unchecking the Show check box in the State column (see Figure 4.16).

Unchecked Show box

By default, every field you add to the QBE grid has its Show check box selected.

In Figure 4.17 notice that the State field does not appear in the query’s results. In many cases,
especially with a query such as the one illustrated in Figure 4.16, you don’t need to see a field that
is used as the query’s criteria. You already know that every record returned by the query will have
CT in the State field, so you can save a little screen space and a tiny bit of time to run the query
by removing the State field from the query results.
