Creating the crosstab query

After you have a conceptual understanding of a crosstab query, it is time to create one. By far, the

easiest way to construct a crosstab query is with the Access Crosstab Query Wizard. The Crosstab

Query Wizard is an excellent tool to help you create a simple crosstab query quickly. Select Query

Wizard in the Macros and Code group on the Create tab to open the New Query dialog box (see

Figure 18.28).

Access employs several Query Wizards, which are helpful additions to the query design surface.

One such wizard is the Crosstab Wizard that helps you successfully create crosstab queries.

Crosstabs are notoriously difficult to design by hand, and the Crosstab Wizard is a welcome aid

when creating crosstabs.
