Be sure not to delete or alter the path to the Access executable file.
In Figure 26.5 the application database’s path is C:\Data\MarketingContacts.

Note
If the path to the database includes spaces, it’s necessary to put double-quotes around the full path.

It’s easy to get Access to automatically open a database from a shortcut icon.- Click the Change Icon button.
The Change Icon dialog box appears
- Click the Browse button and navigate to the icon file (.ico extension) you want to use
(see Figure 26.6). - Drag the shortcut to the computer’s desktop or Quick Launch toolbar to provide a conve-
nient way to start the Access application.
