Another good option is to use QuickTime 7 Pro
from Apple, which works on both the Mac and
PC. It is available at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/
extending and can create a time-lapse with a few
easy steps:

  1. Open QuickTime 7.

  2. Choose File ➪ Open Image Sequence.

  3. Navigate to the files for the time lapse and
    select the first image.

  4. Click Open.

  5. Choose the frame rate from the menu
    that opens.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Export and type the filename of
    the movie.

  8. Choose File ➪ Export ➪ Render to Video.
The Render Video dialog box consists of four
parts, as shown in Figure 7-16:

Location. This is where you specify a loca-
tion to save your completed video.

File Options. This is where you can set the
type of movie and, very importantly, the
size of the movie.

Range. This is where you pick the first and
last frames of the movie.

Render Options. This is where you change
the frame rate, if needed.

  1. Click Render and wait until the process is
complete. The longer the movie, the longer
    it takes to render.
