Hammond, of Gloucester, presently in the
collection of Brookgreen Gardens, the South
Carolina sculpture garden founded by the
Huntingtons in the 1930s.
The dogs presented here were recast in the
1930s without their bases. In February 1907,
Hyatt traveled to France, and took a studio in
Auvers-sur-Oise, north of Paris. She remained
primarily in France until 1910. In 1911 she
exhibited two Great Dane bronzes at the Paris
Salon.
