Signed “Milton Avery” in blue ink l.r., also titled,

signed, dated, and inscribed “‘Two Studies’

by Milton Avery Flobrush 1954” in black ink on

the reverse, identified on a label from Ink River

Frame Gallery, Flemington, New Jersey, affixed

to the backing.

Flobrush on paper, sheet size 13 9/16 x 16 3/4

in. (34.4 x 42.5 cm), framed.

Condition: Paper tape hinged to backing mat,

minor toning/fading, minor mat burn, light

handling creases.

Provenance: A private Massachusetts

collection.

accompanies the lot.
