l.l., identified on a label from Vose Galleries,
Boston, on the frame backing.
Oil on canvas, 18 x 24 in. (46.0 x 61.0 cm),
framed.
Condition: Lined, retouch.


N.B. Miss C.A. Tillinghast is listed as a still
life painter from the Providence and Fall River
area, active in the late 19th century. The frame
bears a label from the Minneapolis Institute of
Arts indicating that the painting was loaned
to the museum for an Auction and Collector’s
Sale, November 1–December 17, 1976.
