exceptasperceivedthroughthemindoftheindividual.ItisamanifestationoftheSupremeBeing
thatebbsandflowsinatimeframethatencompassesanuntoldnumber(perhapsbillions)ofyears.It
is“created”and“destroyed”periodically.Thissupportsthetheoryofa“BIGBANG”andthe
“Expanding-ContractingModeloftheUniverse.”Thelast“Creation”isthoughtbyscientiststohave
occurredseveralbillionsofyearsago.Inthefuture,theytheorizethattheuniversewillcloseinonit-
self(contract),andalltheplanets,stars,etc.willreturnonepoint,asrepresentedbythepointinthe
symbol of Ra. Then, a new “creation” or big bang will occur again.
Thisisthesameinformationstatedinage-oldphilosophicalscripturesdatingfromthebeginningof
“historical”times.Thosewhoarealivenowwillnotwitnessthe“dissolution”sinceitistheorized
thatitwillnotoccurformillionsofyearsinthefuture,however,theimplicationsofwhatitmeans
arecrucialtotheunderstandingofthenatureofreality(thecosmos)withwhichhumansareintim-
atelyrelated.Infact,AncientMysticalPhilosophystatesthatthe“Created”universeisonlyanap-
pearanceforthegenerationofastageuponwhichthehumanexperiencemayoccur.Inaddition,this
“illusion”thathasbeencreatedbyourconditionedminds,isa“reality”onlytotheextentthatwe
“believe” in it.
Thus,realityappearstobearelativeidea.AncientMysticalPhilosophystatesthatthetrueessenceof
thingscanbeseenbytheliberatedmindwhichseeswhatliesbeyondtheinformationgivenbythe
sensesandthatthosewhosemindsarenotliberatedwillexperiencethe“physical”worldasifitreally
“exists.”Forexample:thereisnobluesky.Itonlyappearstobebluebecauseofthelimitedhuman
sense of vision.
Modernsciencehasnowacceptedthatsocalled“physicalreality”cannotexistoutsideoftheperson
conductingtheexperiments.Anoldertheoryheldthatthepersonconductingtheexperimentcouldbe
consideredseparateandapartfromthephenomenabeingobserved.Modernsciencenowholdsthat
natureandallphenomenaoccurbecauseofanexperimentersabilitytoconceptualizethephenomena
andtointerpretit.Therefore,theobserverispartofthephenomenabeingobserved.Consequently,
modernsciencenowusesanewtermfortheexperimenter.ThenewtermisParticipant.Thus,theex-
perimenterisreallyaparticipantintheexperimentbecausehisorherconsciousnessconceives,de-
termines,perceives,interpretsandunderstandsit.Noexperimentorobservedphenomenainnature
canoccurwithoutsomeonetoconceivethatsomethingishappening,determinethatsomethingis
happening,perceivethatsomethingishappening(throughinstrumentsorthesenses),andfinallyto
interpretwhathashappenedandtounderstandthatinterpretation.Therefore,themostrecenttheory
inmodernphysicsisthatmatter,thatistosaycreation,iscomposedofnotonlyenergyinvarying
