in)long.Inconnectionwiththepromotionofhygieneandhealth,thepracticeof

bathinginhottubsandclose(intimate)contactwithpeoplewhodonotliveinahy-

gienicmannerneedstobeavoidedforthesamereasons.Hottubsthemselvesare

breedinggroundsforbacteria,andthebromideorchlorinewhichareusedtokill

thesearetoxicchemicalsforthehumanconstitution.Alongwithimpeccablehy-

gienicconditions,thepriestsandpriestessesmaintainedastrictvegetariandiet,

practicedfastingandenemas,andabstainedfromalcoholicbeverages,aspreviously
