sionandfreedomofthespiritualprincipleateachcenter.Thethreelowercenters

arerelatedtoworldlypersonalities,whoaresubjecttothemaladieslistedabove.

Thosewhohaveovercomethelowernatureexperiencethefouruppercenters.The

waytoovercomethelowernatureistopracticethedisciplinesofmysticalphilo-

sophy,whichincludeperforminggooddeedsandrighteousaction.Thispurifiesthe

mindandallowsonetopromotepurityofheart.Thetaskofeveryspiritualaspirant

isthereforetobreakthecycleofvicewithinthemselves.Thiscanbedonebyfol-

lowing the spiritual path of righteous action.

ThefirststageinthepracticeofthePathofRightActionistocontroltheorgansof

action.Thesethreearethebody(grossactions-physicalbody),themouth(speech-

subtlebody)andfinallythemind(thoughts-causalbody).Onemustdorighteous

deeds,utterrighteousspeechandengenderrighteousthoughts.Thesethreeaspects

ofthepersonalitymustbebroughtintoharmonywiththeteachingsofphysical,
