ments.Thiscanbeaccomplishedthroughgreenjuices.Thebodymaynotbeableto
properlybreakdownthecelluloseinthevegetablecellsinordertotherebyextract
thenutritionalelementsinthevegetables.Juicingvegetablesallowsthecelluloseto
bebrokendownandthenutritionalelements(includingvitaminsandminerals)are
made readily available to the body’s digestive system.
Manypeopleemphasizefruitjuicesintheirdiets,butthiscanleadtoexcesssugarin
thebodythatwillleadtotheformationofacids,therebypromotingdisease.There
shouldbeabalancebetweengreenandfruitjuicingandthekindsoffruitsusedin
thejuicingshouldbenon-acidforming.forexample,lemonjuice,thoughapparently
acidicmetabolizestoanalkalineandpromotesthecleansingofthebodybyflushing
outtheimpurities.Otherfruitjuices(coconut,melons,cucumber,etc.)havealkaline
properties and should be used accordingly (take at least 1-2 cups per day).
