Thetraditionalhumanmedicalestablishment,althoughtheyhavenamedseveralfactorswhichthey
believecontributetoosteoporosis,forthemostparttheystillmaintainthattheexactcauseisnot
known.Itcouldbethattheyhavenotfoundacausebecausetheyareworkingfromtheparadigmthat
eatingmeatandlotsofgrainsare“normalandhealthy,”andarethereforelookingforcausesonly
withintheframeworkofthisparadigm.Thiswouldbelikehavingdocumentationthatpoisonivy
causeshives,yettellingpeopleitissafeandhealthyforthem.Then,whentheybreakoutinhives,as-
suringthemthatyouwillnotrestuntilyoufindthecauseoftheirhives,nomatterwhatittakes.Yet,
becauseyouhaveprofessedthatitsafeandhealthy,youlookateverypossiblecause,excepttheivy.
Sincetheanswertothepuzzlesrestsintheivy,youwillneverdiscoverthecauseoftheirhives,no
matterhowmuchmoneyyouthrowatitorhowmanyscientistsyouputtostudytheproblem,until
youarewillingtofacethefactthatyoumayhavemadeamistakeinyourclassificationoftheivyas
safeandhealthy.Thisisthedilemmathatthegovernment,thefoodindustry,thetraditionalmedical
establishment,meatanddairyfarmers,thedairyandmeatlobbyistsandotherswhobenefitfromthe
meatanddairyindustrymustface.Theyhavespentmuchtime,effortandmoneycreatingandestab-
lishingthebeliefthatmeatanddairyproductsaresafeandessentialtothephysicalhealthofaperson,
andhaveexcludedthemfromthescopeoftheirresearchestofindanswerstothemanyillnessthat
plaguesociety.Thus,itisnotsurprisingthattheyhavenotbeenabletofindthecurestheyhave
promised,evenafterthebillionsofdollarsthathavebeenpouredintotheresearchandmedicalsci-
ences.Thereisawonderfulparablethatexpressesthispoint.Twoyounggirlscameupontheireld-
erlygrandmotheronherhandsandkneesinherfrontyardsearchingforsomething.Theyaskedif
theycouldhelp.Thegrandmotherexplainedthatshehadlostherknittingneedle.Theysaidthatthey
wouldhelpherlookforit,andaskedherwhereexactlydidsheloseit.Shetoldthemshelostitinside
house.Theyaskedifshelostitinherhouse,whywasshesearchingoutside.Sherepliedtothemthat
itisverydarkinherhouseandshecouldnotseeanything,soshewassearchingforitoutsidewhere
therewaslight!Muchlikethiselderlywomanofourparable,traditionalwesternmedicalscience,
withtheexceptionofafewpioneers,continuestosearchfortheir“cures”whereitisfinanciallyprof-
itable for them to do so, but not where the true solutions can be found.
Ifinotheranimalspeciesdietsrichinphosphorousandlowincalciumcanbringonthisconditionof
osteoporosis,couldnotthesamemechanismexistforthehuman(animal)body?Animalmeatsare
especiallycalciumdeficient.Thisiswhydietsthatpromotemeateatingorproteinasthemainsource
ofnutritionorforthepurposeoflosingweightwillproduceshorttermseeminglypositiveresultsand
long-termmalnutrition.Manyotherfoodproductssuchasgrains,nutsandseedshaveahighercalci-
umcontent,butstillhaverelativelyhighcalcium:phosphorousrations,andthusshouldbeconsumed
inlimitedquantities.Theoptimumcalcium:phosphorousratioisbalanced,about2:1to1:2.Most
meat,inadditiontohavinglowlevelsofcalcium,haveratiosrangingfrom1:15andhigher,contain-
ingasmuchasfifteentimesmorephosphorousthancalcium. 232 Mostgrains,thoughhavingslightly
highercalciumcontentthanmostmeats,arealsolowincalciumandhighinphosphorous.Somenot-
ableexceptionsingrainsthatarewellbalancedincalciumandphosphorousareWholeGrainBrown
