cookedfruits.Thisgroupnotonlyincludesthefruits
wearefamiliarwith,butalsosomefruitsthatareerro-
neouslylabeledasvegetables(i.e.tomatoes,cucum-
bers,squash,pumpkin,olives,avocado,etc....anything
withaseedinsideisconsideredafruit).Somefruitari-
ans also include raw/live nuts and seeds in their diets.
Note:Inthisbook,whenreferencesaremadeto“vegetarian,”theunderstandingisofsomeonewhodoesnoteat
meatofanykind,includingpoultryandfish/seafood.Eggwhitesandhoneyarepermittedonalimitedbasisin
thetransitionphase,assomeprocessedvegetarianproductsincludetheseitems.However,oneshouldtryto
transitionassoonaspossibletoavegandiet,eithercookedandorraw,andthenfromacookedvegantoacom-
pletely raw vegan.
