times.Therefore,thephilosophyanddisciplinesofhealththatwillbediscussedinthisbookwerecre-
ated by Kemetans (Kamitans).
Perhaps,secondonlytospirituality,healthissuesweretheprimaryconcernoftheAncientEgyptians.
Spirituallifewasthemainconcernbecausetherewasarecognitionthattheuniverseisanexpression
oftheDivine.Thisbeingunderstood,thenitfollowsthateverythingonedoesandallofone’sactions
areinandthroughtheDivine,whichmanifestsascosmicforcessustainingcreationandhumanlife.
Thus,thereisawaytoliveinharmonywiththeuniversaldivineintelligence.Thisunderstandingis
thebasisofalltruespiritualtraditions.Theproperpracticeofmysticalspiritualityandreligionneces-
sitatesonetobeinoptimalhealth.Thus,itisincumbentuponanyonewhowishestopursuefurther
studiesinKemeticorotherMysticalTraditionstoalsostudyandpromotegoodhealthinorderto
achieveaproperunderstandingofthecultureandspiritualteachingsofAncientEgyptortheother
traditions.HealthconcernswereintegraltothecultureandspirituallifeinAncientEgypt,somuchso
thatmanyoftheAncientEgyptiantempleshadsanatoriums(hospitals)aswellaspharmacies(areas
forthepreparationofherbsandnaturalmedicaments).Therewerespecialroomsforthestorageand
preparationofofferingstothegodsandgoddesses,whichneededtobefreshandwholesomesince
they were meant for the Divine Self.
AsthehumanbeingwasbelievedtobeanexpressionoftheDivine,theconsumptionoffoodwas
alsobelievedtobeadivineendeavor,andthusworthyofeveryconsideration,sincethiswouldlead
to the possibility of maintaining good health and thus, attaining Divine Consciousness.
