MACBOOK PRO:
TOUCH BAR IS NOW THE NORM

The MacBook wasn’t the only product Apple
discontinued last week - the company also
pulled the plug on the MacBook Pro without
a Touch Bar, a controversial choice that will no
doubt cause ripples online. With it, the company
announced an updated entry-level 13-inch
MacBook Pro featuring a new 8th-generation
Intel Core quad-core processor which can offer
up to two times faster performance compared
to the previous generation. According to
benchmarks from Geekbench, the new
Pro is up to 83% faster than the previous
generation, and with the same price tag, it’s
now a firm favorite amongst professional users.

The notebook now also includes a Touch Bar
(and, of course, Touch ID) for the first time on
the entry-level model, a move that some will
love and others will hate. Apple’s controversial
decision to introduce the Touch Bar has caused
some to abandon the MacBook Pro range
