THE FUTURE OF THE MAC LINE
Whilst the removal of the 12-inch MacBook
was bound to be an unpopular move, Apple
has actually done the Mac range a credit and
combined with the updated 15-inch MacBook,
the new iMac, and Mac Pro, the Mac range has
never looked better. Apple has spent too long
resting on its laurels when it comes to the Mac,
and now that iPhone sales are shrinking, the
Cupertino company is rightfully putting in more
time and effort to bolster its computing arm.
With a 16-inch MacBook Pro expected in
September alongside iPhones and Apple
Watches, and the Mac Pro and Pro Display
XDR coming this Autumn, there’s never been a
better time to invest in the macOS ecosystem.
macOS Catalina will bring with it a bunch of
changes such as Project Catalyst, too, which
will introduce iPadOS apps to the Mac for the
first time. It’s unfortunate that the MacBook
had to be sacrificed in order to streamline the
Mac family and align with Apple’s new vision
for personal computing, but the alternatives on
offer are so powerful and, with the new Air, so
affordable, that users won’t mourn for long...
