FOR SMALL SCISSORS
Small scissors for big action.
Tesourinha means small scissors and is
a project that was founded by Ivan
Stringhi in 1992 in the slums of São
Paulo. "Education for Life" now
supports this initiative, in order to
expand the work to other areas of São
Paulo and further Brazilian states.
More than 17.000 trainees in hairdres-
sing work already, 38 instructors are
involved in this project. Tesourinha
introduced itself on the occasion of
Intercoiffure’s 20thWorld Congress in
Rio de Janeiro in 2008.
CHANCEN MIT
„KLEINEN SCHEREN“
Kleine Scheren mit großer Wirkung.
Tesourinha bedeutet kleine Scheren
und ist ein Projekt, das von Ivan
Stringhi 1992 in den Slums von São
Paulo gegründet wurde. „Education
for Life" unterstützt nun diese Initia-
tive, um die Arbeit auf andere Teile
São Paulos und weitere brasilianische
Städte auszuweiten. Mehr als 17.000
Friseur-Schüler arbeiten bereits, 38
Lehrer sind in das Projekt involviert.
Tesourinha wurde 2008 während des
- Weltkongresses in Rio de Janeiro
vorgestellt.
EMPLOYMENT
AS A LIVELIHOOD
Charity commitment in Romania. A second
training centre was created in 2006 in
Timisoara, in collaboration with the Rudolf
Walther Foundation. Street kids and
youngsters from socially weak backgrounds
can be trained to hairdressing in a six-month
course.15 to 24 places are allocated each
year. The trainees take an exam and receive
a certificate recognized by the State, the
best pre-condition for employment..
ARBEIT ALS LEBENSGRUNDLAGE
Charity-Einsatz in Rumänien. Ein zweites
Trainingscenter wurde 2006 gemeinsam mit
der Rudolf-Walther-Stiftung in Timisoara
realisiert und eingerichtet. Straßenkinder
und Jugendliche aus sozial schwachen Fa-
milien können sich in einem sechsmonatigen
Kurs zum Friseur schulen lassen – 15 bis 24
Plätze werden im Jahr vergeben. Die Schü-
ler legen eine staatlich anerkannte Prüfung
mit Zertifikat ab, beste Voraussetzung für
eine Anstellung.

COMME MOYEN DE SUBSISTANCE
Engagement caritatif en Roumanie. Un
deuxième centre de formation a été créé en
2006 à Timisoara, en collaboration avec la
Fondation Rudolf Walther. Les enfants de la
rue et les jeunes venus de milieux sociaux
difficiles peuvent y être formés à la coiffure
au moyen d’une formation de six mois.15 à
24 places sont attribuées chaque année. Les
apprentis passent un examen et reçoivent
un certificat reconnu par l’État – la meilleure
prédisposition à l’emploi.
EL EMPLEO COMO UN MEDIO DE VIDA
Compromiso caritativo en Rumania. Un
segundo centro de formación ha sido
creado en 2006 en Timisoara, en colaboración
con la Fundación Rudolf Walther. A los niños
de la calle y los jóvenes de medios precarios
se les enseña la peluquería por medio
de una formación de seis meses en la
que se atribuyen cada año de 15 a 24
plazas. Los aprendices pasan un examen y
reciben un diploma certificado por el Estado –

POUR DES PETITS CISEAUX
Des petits ciseaux pour une grande
action. Tesourinha signifie « petits
ciseaux » et désigne un projet fondé
par Ivan Stringhi en 1992 dans les
bidonvilles de São Paulo. « Education
for Life » soutient désormais cette
initiative, afin d’amener du travail dans
d’autres quartiers de São Paulo et dans
d’autres États du Brésil. Plus de 17.000
apprentis de la coiffure travaillent
déjà, 38 enseignants sont impliqués
dans ce projet. Tesourinha a été
présenté à l’occasion du 20ème
Congrès Mondial d’Intercoiffure à Rio
de Janeiro en 2008.

Pequeñas tijeras por una gran acción.
Tesourinha significa “pequeñas tijeras”
en español, es un proyecto fundado
por Ivan Stringhi en 1992 en las
chabolas de São Paulo. "Education for
Life" apoya desde entonces esta
iniciativa para que el trabajo se
extienda a demás barrios de São Paulo
y Estados brasileños. Más de 17.000
aprendices en peluquería ocupan ya
un empleo; 38 profesores se han
involucrado en el dicho proyecto. Se
presentó Tesourinha en la ocasión del
Vigésimo Congreso Mundial Intercoif-
fure en Río de Janeiro en 2008.
