„ The ISIS system will then display this visual message:

“Compare heart rate on blood pressure monitor with captured heart rate on ISIS
screen. Enter a manual heart rate ONLY if they differ by more than 5 beats.”

„ Note the heart rate on the blood pressure monitor and compare this number with the
captured heart rate on the ISIS screen. Follow the same rules in Section 4.4.6.1 for
manual entry of heart rate.

4.5.8 Recovery Stages


Exhibit 4-49. Treadmill test, recovery – routine test

„ The ISIS system will advance to Recovery 1. The timer will be reset to zero and will
start timing the 1-minute Recovery Stage. The BP monitor will automatically measure
BP and HR. These values will be captured by the ISIS system.
„ After 1 minute in Recovery 1, the ISIS system will advance to Recovery 2 for an
additional minute. If the SP’s HR is above 110 at the end of Recovery 2, the ISIS
system will give an auditory message:
“Proceed with Recovery 3.”
„ Recovery will continue for 1 minute, then stop as described below. If the SP’s heart
rate is 110 or below, the ISIS system will give an auditory message:
“Press ‘Cool Down’ on treadmill controller.”
„ Tell SP to grasp the front of the handrail and warn him/her that the treadmill is about
to stop. The ISIS system will give the following auditory message:
“Press ‘Stop’ on treadmill controller. Congratulations, you have completed the test.”
„ The timer will stop and return to zero.
