The following table (2-2) may be used to troubleshoot problems with the STBP monitor.

Please check ECG. A. ECG connectors are disconnected.
B. ECG lead-select is not proper.
C. The electrodes are not attached correctly
and electrical noise is interfering.
D. The ground wire is not attached correctly
and electrical noise is interfering.
E. Because of the extraordinarily strong
ECG signal, ECG is detected as noise.
Check cuff The inflation
exceeds 15
seconds.
Please check cuff. A. The capability of the pump-up motor has
declined.
B. Power supply voltage is fluctuating.
C. Air is leaking.
D. Cuff connector has become loose.
Check SYS Third reinflation
starts during
REST MODE.
The safety valve is
open.
A. The microphone detects noise.
B. There is line noise.
Check MIC
Check MIC.
Check MIC!
Check MIC?
The input signal
from the micro
phones cannot be
collected.
Please check
microphone.
A. The microphones are not properly located
on the artery.
B. The signal cannot be detected; cuff may
be wrapped upside down.
C. The microphone is inferior.
D. Microphone cord is not connected or is
broken.
FAIL In the self-test, an
abnormality has
been detected.
Machine failure. Hardware failure. Call authorized service
representative.
NOISE None The increase or decrease between 2
consecutive R wave readings exceeds 25%.
BATT None The voltage of the memory back-up battery
goes down below 2 volts. Call authorized
service rep.
