dence, he argues that an identifiable localized area ofGalilee was
predominantlyoccupiedbyJewishseulements.Thisincludedtheregion
aroundSepphoris,includingIheurbansiteitself,theareanorthofSep-
phoris(oflenreferred toas UpperGalilee),andmost ofthewestern
shoreofLakeKinneret.TheseareasarethemainplaceswhereJesusis
saidtohavelivedandtraveJed.35Otherlocalized regionssurrounding
