FemalesolidariWIndividualwomenmay haveperformedsomeof
theritualsofreproduction aspartoftheirdailyroutine, butgroupsof
women,suchasthoscattendingthebirthofOded(Ruth4:17),alsoClr-

contributedtofemalesolidarityinandacrosshouseholdsinIsraeliteset-
tlemenls, so too the performanceof religious rituals in the intimate
circumstancesofchildbirthwouldhavecreatedsolidarityamongwomen
