IWHA is a nonprofit organization committed to disseminating
information and tools, such as the Portable Microbiology Labora-
tory, to allow for community-administered water testing and so-
lar and/or chemical water pasteurization efforts to be conducted
worldwide to reduce water-borne disease, a needless and pre-
ventable cause of frequent hospitalizations and major healthcare
expenditures in developing countries. The unique commitment of
IWHA is giving the local community the power and knowledge to
administer their own testing on demand, not only providing the
ability to purify the water locally but also to learn what local envi-
ronmental situations relate to their specific water sanitation issues.
It is Prescription2000.com’s strong position that the prevention
of water-borne disease by local community-driven detection and
water pasteurization programs provided by the IWHA, along with
education on the Staying Healthy Today principles demonstrated in
the “9 Simple Steps to Optimal Health” of the TRIAD Wellness Pro-
gram, will assist developing countries in providing the most cost-
effective, efficient, prevention-oriented and sustainable healthcare
to their people.
