Both those scores point to phones that may not
keep up with the flagships, but offer decent, usable
performance for daily tasks.


Cameras
If photography is a priority for you then we’d advise
looking closer at the Mi A2, which features a 20Mp



  • 12Mp dual-camera at the rear and a 20Mp selfie
    camera at the front. This phone is pretty well specified
    for a budget phone camera, however – and, again,
    better specified than either the Redmi 6 or 6A.
    XiaomihasfittedtheMiA2Litewitha 12Mp+ 5Mp
    dual-camerawith1.25μm pixels, PDAF and a single
    LED flash at the rear, and a 5Mp selfie camera at the
    front. It supports some intelligent AI features, such
    as smart selection of preset filters and settings, and
    a bokeh-effect (blurred
    background) portrait
    mode. It can also shoot
    1080p video at 30fps, or
    720p slow-mo at 120fps.
    Our tests shots
    revealed a camera that
    offers decent quality
    atthisprice.Viewed

    noticeable, and there’s
    not as much detail as
    we’d like, but colours
    and exposure are good.
