Early Christianity

Bibliography

It would be impossible here to provide anything close to a full bibliography
of early Christianity. I have limited myself, therefore, to listing works referred
to and cited in chapters 1–6, together with some other works that I have found
useful: this is a guide to the book, not the subject. Certain reference works
mentioned in chapter 7 do not appear. For guidance on such works, and on
collections of sources, see chapter 7.
