Broad Lighting

Broad lighting is the term used when the key light is
illuminating thearea of the face closest to camera (the
broadestviewofthesubject).Itisaflatlightwhichwill
evenoutskintonesandunevenskin;however,asittendsto
widen faces, itis not oftenused in a portraitureset-up
unlessthesubjecthasathinfaceandthephotographeris
required to make the person appear wider.
