thephotographeralovelysoftlight withwhichto work.
The subject will be able to move around more freely,
withouttheoverallfeeloftheshotchanging,andreflectors
canbe usedin thisinstance to adda littlepunch to the
subject to lift them from their surroundings.


Two key pieces of equipment for the photographer to
employ when shooting on location are reflectors and
diffusers; thesewillhelpthephotographer tomanipulate
andmodifythelightinmanyways.Theyarelightweight
and easily portable, and can potentially make a
considerable difference in the final image when used
correctly on location portraiture.


Reflectors

Areflector is in photographic termsa sheetof material
designed to reflect and guide light into a specific area,
whichisgenerallystretchedoverapliableframeenabling
thereflectorto befoldedawayandcarried easilybythe
photographer.Reflectorsareavailableinvariousfinishes,
eachwiththeirownqualityofchangingand shapingthe
light. Their primary use in the portraiture setting is to
minimize shadows and reduce contrast.
