Foreground Elements to Frame the Subject

Shooting through doorways and window frames and
placingthemainsubjectinthedistancecaninjectfurther
interest and alsoadd a senseof isolationand separation
from theviewer, bycreatingboth a physical and visual
barrier between them and the sitter.


Shooting through foliage such astrees and flowers,and
usingtheseto frame, cancreateawonderful foreground
texture intowhich thesubjectis revealedto theviewer,
giving the feel of a captured moment, where the
photographerhasnaturallyrepresentedthescene.Forthis
techniquetobebelievablethesubjectmustbedirectedto
behaveasifthephotographerisnotthere;itisparticularly
suited when shooting couples.
