thatmayarisefrom storingdatadigitally. Itemploysan
array(variety)ofharddrives,allusedinconjunctionwith
eachothertopreserveandensuretheimagedataisstored
securely.Ifoneharddriveisfailingthereareotherswithin
the system that will detect and backup information.


TherearevaryinglevelsoftheRAIDsystemrelatingtothe
fragilityandimportanceofthedatabeingstored.themore
basiccopy/mirroringofdataistakencareoflowerdown
the scale, and the higher up the RAID scale the more
complex and sophisticated the data, detection and
protection becomes.
