Clipping
Byreadingthehistogramonthetop right-handcornerof
the Camera RAW window the photographer is able to
determinetheexposureleveloftheimageasawhole.The
left-handsideofthehistogramrepresentsblack,andtothe
farrightwhiteisrepresented.Ifthehistogramrisesupat
eitherendofthegraph,theninformationislostanddetail
intheseareaswillnotbepresent;thisiscalledclippingand
shouldbeavoidedifpossible,althoughitisalsodependent
ontheimagetaken(someimageswillinevitablyclipthe
edges, especially high-keyor low-key images) With the
sliders in this window some information can be retrieved.
