RAWfilesarethosewherealloftheinformationneededto
producean image istaken untouchedand uncompressed
fromthecamerasensor.As aresulttheseRAWfilesare
very large and takeup a significantamount of memory
both in camera and when processing the images. Some
cameras now have the option for the photographer to
slightly compress the RAW files in camera to lessen
memory space used.

TIFF
(Tagged Image File Format)
- An uncompressed data file.
- Lossless (no information is discarded).

(named for the Joint Photographic Experts Group,
which created the JPEG standard)
