  • 21–35mm:Still classedaswide-angle, butyou would
    get less distortion from lenses within these ranges.
    Lenses below 35mm would primarily be used in
    architectural,landscapeandinteriorphotography,where
    awiderviewofthesubjectwouldbeneeded.However
    these could be used creatively in a portraiture
    environmentbyusingthenatureofthelenstoemphasize
    and distortcertainparts oftheframe, forexample by
    placingadominantareaoftheimageclosertotheframe
    to accentuate the size.

Normal Lenses


  • 35–70mm: Standard (normal) lenses, good all-round
    use. These lenses are very versatile with minimal
    distortionofthesubject,givinga‘natural’fieldofview.
