- “If you love me, obey me.” Have you made a choice to obey
Jesus, out of your love for Him, to give your life to loving
and serving others? - Make a list of people that are close, (family, children, friends,
neighbors) that you need to take action to love. Write down
a plan of how you are going to make the time to love them
better this year. (Write a note or an email, make them a meal,
visit them, call them.)
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, in a world that is lost and so far from
you, help us to make the choices as you did; to love, serve, lay
down our lives, so that the world may truly see your love
through us. Help us not to be just hearers of the word, but
doers. Let our love for you be reflected in the way we make
choices to love others, out of gratefulness for your constant
and generous love and devotion. We love you so very much
and we want to keep our first love for you till we see you face
to face!
