You Are Loved: Embracing the Everlasting Love God has for You

neighbors, we became pen pals. Or I should say she became a
pen pal. She was the writer, and I was the reader. (How in the
world I ever became a blogger is only by the grace of God!) As
we were growing up, Stephanie and I would see each other
about once a year, normally when I would travel back to
Indiana to visit my grandparents. Over the years we attended
each other’s high school graduation parties, were in each
other’s weddings, and visited one another for the births of our
children. I have three girls, and she has three boys. If we
believed in prearranged marriages, our children would be all
set!


Over the years I also had opportunities to stay in contact with
Whitney, Stephanie’s older sister. Whitney and I would see
each other when I would be invited to join in a family
gathering. Stephanie kept me updated on what Whitney and
her family were doing through the years. Then one night a few
years ago, I ran across a blog post Whitney had written and
shared on Facebook. I clicked on the link and read the post and
loved what she said and how she said it. I felt that I was sitting
in her family room, snuggled up with a warm cup of tea, talking
with a dear friend.


Over the course of a few weeks, Whitney and I talked, prayed,
and sought the Lord, and finally one morning I woke up to an
email in my inbox stating she would be honored to serve
alongside me in Good Morning Girls. What God had started
years ago when I was a little girl, through pain and heartache,
He was now redeeming and bringing purpose and beauty out
of it. God allowed the hurt, because He saw a greater good
emerging from the ashes of broken homes and broken dreams.
